Lipinski and Balmer earn All-Centennial recognition

LANCASTER, Pa. - Kylie Lipinski and Kathryn Balmer were named to the 2012 All-Centennial Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Team as announced by the league office Friday afternoon.

Lipinski, a first-team honoree for the third consecutive year, captured her third-straight triple jump crown at the conference championship meet held May 4-6 at Ursinus College.  Leaping to a distance of 11.37 meters (37 feet, 3.75 inches), Lipinski nabbed the fourth gold medal overall of her outdoor career as she additionally won the long jump in 2011. The current program record holder in both the indoor and outdoor triple jump, Lipinski also took the triple jump title at the conference indoor championship held in February.

Receiving honorable mention recognition, freshman Kathryn Balmer finished second in the 1,500 meter run at the conference championship meet with a collegiate-best time of 4 minutes, 42.82 seconds. Balmer also earned all-conference honorable mention honors during the indoor season for her performance in the 800 meter run.
