Women's Track & Field Preps for Postseason at TCNJ Invitational

EWING TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The Haverford College women's outdoor track & field team had its final preparations for the 2015 Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at The College of New Jersey Invitational on Saturday.

The Fords sent their largest contingent of runners to compete in the 1,500 meters. Katie Sullivan turned in the top time in that event for the Fords with a third place finish in a time of 4:41.77. Her new personal best moves her up to 10th in the school record book. Kelley Riffenburgh was just behind her in seventh place with a time of 4:47.17. Amelia Keyser-Gibson (4:55.15), Nicole Giannetti (4:56.05), and Sarah Wade (4:58.84) also turned in top 20 times for the event.

In the 800 meters, Nora Weathers recorded another third place finish for Haverford on the afternoon. Her time of 2:14.58 moves her up to fifth in the College's record book. Katherine Greifeld was 12th overall in the event with a time of 2:20.10. Also on the track, Carolyn Oehrig placed 17th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.60 seconds. Yue Xiang was 17th in the 400 meters with a time of 1:04.21.

In the triple jump, Elizabeth Reikowski placed eighth overall with a leap of 10.55 meters. Oehrig was the lone Haverford athlete to compete in two events. She placed 12th in the triple jump with a distance of 10.15 meters.

Up next for the women's track & field team is the Centennial Conference Championships at Muhlenberg. The 2015 conference outdoor championships will run from Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 3.
