Women's Outdoor Track & Field Travels to Sam Howell Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Haverford College women's outdoor track & field team sent five runners to compete at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational. The Fords returned with three top 10 times in the school's record book.

Amelia Keyser-Gibson ran the third fastest time in school history in the 5,000 meters as she finished 13th overall with a time of 17:27.94. Her time currently ranks seventh in Division III during the outdoor season. Nicole Giannetti finished in 18th place with a time of 17:38.33. Her time ranks eighth in program history. Maggie Heffernan rounded out the Fords' 5,000 meter contingent as she placed 36th with a finish in 18:06.03.

The Fords were also represented by a pair of runners in the 1,500 meters. Katie Sullivan won the third section as she went on to place 13th overall in the entire field. Her time of 4:39.09 ranks her eighth in Haverford's outdoor record book. Nora Weathers, the school record holder in the event, placed 26th overall with a time of 4:41.79.

Women's outdoor track & field will now have Saturday off with inclement weather in the forecast. This weekend's West Chester Invitational has been moved this Sunday, April 10.
