Why did you choose Haverford?
The campus was beautiful and I liked the fact that Haverford was in the consortium, it felt like I had a lot of options on how I wanted to shape my academic journey and Haverford was offering all the possible support and resources I could ever need. The small campus feel was also an aesthetic I enjoyed a lot and everyone was very kind. Having the campus so close to Philadelphia and relatively close to New York City was also something I really liked because it meant I could have the chance to go from a cityscape and back to campus easily and without a car. When I stepped foot on campus it immediately felt different from all the other campuses I had been on, the atmosphere just felt very right for me.

What does being a student-athlete mean to you? It means to not only challenge myself in the classroom but also on the track. I get to represent my school and every time I medal, it's like a little 'thank you' to Haverford for helping me get to where I am.

What are your thoughts on the Honor Code?
The Honor Code was another reason I chose this school. I felt like it was basically saying that the Haverford Community had its trust in me to be the best person I can be and help maintain a community where everyone else can too.

What advice would you give a high school student considering Haverford?
I would say that Haverford really lets you take control of how you want your college experience to go and gives you all the tools you could ever need. It's a great place where there isn't one type of Haverford student, you should absolutely visit and see/hear for yourself.

Why did you choose to play a sport in college?
I really love hurdling and the rush of competition. Track & field is both a team and individual sport which I really enjoy because it gives me the opportunity to show my own skills while also being able to show what my team can do. I wanted to continue and I was recruited by schools that ranged from Division I to Division III, but I wanted to make sure that I went to a school where I was a both a student and an athlete.
