Virtual Senior Days: Women's Cross Country, Track & Field Class of 2020

With the 2020 spring sports unable to hold Senior Days on campus, the Haverford College Athletic Department is recognizing these seniors in a virtual ceremony, with some special help from their teammates. Today, we celebrate the 2020 Haverford College women's cross country, track & field seniors.

2020 Haverford College Women's Tennis Senior Class

  • Senior class helped Haverford to two NCAA Cross Country National Championship team appearances and one additional individual appearance over last four years
  • Fords also qualified to the NCAA Track & Field Championships three times during the outdoor season and once indoors over last four years.

Marisa Antinori • Biology major; Health Studies minor • Audubon, Pennsylvania

  • Three-year team captain
  • Ranks sixth in program history for fastest 60 meter dash indoors
  • Sixth in program history in the outdoor long jump, winning that event indoors at the 2017 McElligott Invitational
  • Six-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll during the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons
  • Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team (2019 outdoor season)
  • In addition to routinely competing in sprints and jumps, was also a member of the relay teams where she helped the Fords earn bronze medals at the Centennial Conference Championship meets: 4x200 (2020 indoors), 4x100 (2019 outdoors)

Zoe Arditi • English major • Chappaqua, New York

  • Team captain
  • Six-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll selection
  • Competed in events spanning from the 800 meters to the 5,000 meters
  • Placed ninth in steeplechase during 2019 Centennial Conference Championships
  • Capped her career with a personal-best time in the 3,000 meters at the Keogh Invitational

Annie Connolly-Sporing • Chemistry major (Biochemistry concentration) • Southampton, New York

  • Six-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll selection after joining the team in her junior season
  • Set four different personal bests in her lone outdoor track & field season, capped by an eighth place scoring performance in the steeplechase at the Centennial Conference Championships
  • Also rewrote her personal bests this fall at the Paul Short and Haverford Invitational cross country meets
  • Earned top 10 finish in the final home cross country meet of her career, placing sixth at the Haverford Invitational

Jolie Jaycobs • Environmental Studies major • Nantucket, Massachusetts

  • Team captain
  • Nine-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll selection
  • All-Mideast Region in 2018 as part of Haverford's DMR
  • Second-team All-Centennial Conference in 2019 as part of the 4x800 relay
  • Broke three of her four indoor personal bests during the winter season and set new cross country PR during the Paul Short Run this fall
  • Won the mile at the 2020 McElligott Invitational

Mckenna Krall • Psychology major • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

  • USTFCCCA All-Academic Team (2018)
  • Two-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll selection
  • Part of the top seven runners who competed at the 2016 NCAA Championships where the Fords placed 23rd as a team
  • Turned in a personal-best time of 23:50.4 during her appearance at the NCAA Championship meet
  • Placed sixth in the steeplechase at the 2019 Centennial Conference Championships

Michelle Luu • Environmental Studies major • Waukegan, Illinois

  • Earned top 10 finish at the Haverford Open this fall to begin her cross country season
  • Competed in track & field events spanning the 800 meters through the 5,000 meters
  • Set three of her four career personal bests during the 2018-19 indoor track & field season
  • Placed fifth in the mile at the Haverford Quad Meet during the 2019-20 indoor season

Mariana Ramirez • Anthropology major (Latin American, Iberian & Latino Studies concentration) • Sacramento, California

  • Ambler Scholar-Athlete
  • Nine-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll selection
  • One of the team's top runners during the 2019 cross country season, competing in the Centennial Conference Championship race
  • Won the 800 meters for her first career individual title at the Haverford Quad Meet during the indoor season and later contested that event at the Centennial Conference Championship meet

Unique Tuberville • Economics major; East Asian Languages & Culture minor • Warner Robbins, Ga.

  • Team captain
  • Three-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll selection
  • School record holder in the weight throw and hammer throw
  • Also ranks seventh all-time for the indoor shot put and ninth all-time for the outdoor shot put
  • Second-team All-Centennial Conference (2019; hammer)
  • Two-time honorable mention All-Centennial Conference in weight throw (2019, 20)
  • Seven scoring performances in the throwing events at the Centennial Conference Championships throughout her career
  • Won the Haverford Midweek Invitational hammer throw all three times that event was contested during her outdoor career, also winning the shot put title in 2019 at that same meet
