PHILADELPHIA - Haverford College competed in the Centennial-MAC 4x400 meter relay race at the Penn Relays on a rainy Friday evening at Franklin Field. The relay team consisted of Ally Landau, Isabel Thornberry, Jahsaiah Moses, and Olivia D'Aulerio. The foursome finished the race in 3:59.65, which represents the ninth-best time in program history in the event, earning the Fords a podium spot.

Johns Hopkins won the race with a time of 3:54.67, followed by Haverford in second place. Dickinson finished in third place with a time of 4:03.91, while Messiah and Ursinus came in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Albright and Bryn Mawr finished in sixth and seventh place to round out the competitors.

Haverford's individual split times were impressive, with Landau completing the first leg in 59.17 seconds and Thornberry finishing the second leg in 59.33. Moses ran the third leg in 1:02.42, while D'Aulerio finished the anchor leg in 58.75.

The Penn Relays, the oldest and largest track and field meet in the United States, attracts athletes from around the world. The collegiate 4x400 meter relay is always a popular event at the meet, and Haverford's performance was a noteworthy achievement for the team on "the biggest stage in track & field" as they head into the Centennial Conference Championships next week at Ursinus.
