Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Voted Fifth in CC Preseason Poll

Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. -  The Haverford College women's outdoor track & field team has been picked fifth in the Centennial Conference, the conference office announced in a release on Wednesday morning.

Winners of 13 straight Centennial Conference titles, Johns Hopkins was tabbed first in the preseason poll with 81 voting points and nine first-place votes.  Slotting into the second position is Dickinson with 73 voting points, as well as the final first-place vote. Swarthmore was voted third with 63 voting points, while Ursinus (fourth place, 56 points), and Haverford (fifth place, 49 points) close out the top five in the conference.

Gettysburg (sixth place, 43 points), McDaniel (seventh place, 28 points), Muhlenberg (eighth place, 25 points), Franklin & Marshall (ninth place, 23 points) and Bryn Mawr (10th place, nine points) round of the 2024 preseason poll.

One runner to watch out for in the 2024 season is Olivia D'Aulerio, who had quite a successful indoor season. A first-team All-Centennial Conference selection as well as a USTFCCCA All-Region nominee in the 400 meters, D'Aulerio ran a 57.96 in the Tufts Last Chance National Qualifying Meet, becoming the new school record holder in the event. 

Chester, Pa. will be the site of the first 2024 outdoor track and field competition, as the Fords will compete in the Danny Curran Invitational on Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30.

Muhlenberg will be the hosts of the 2024 Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, with the three-day event taking place from May 3 to May 5.
