Men's Basketball Heads to Belfast

After leaving Galway, the team headed on the bus to Belfast in Northern Ireland, but first we stopped off to see the Giants' Causeway. We were all blown away by the natural beauty of the site. The picturesque views and stunning landscapes were truly breathtaking. Following our adventures at the Causeway, we headed into Belfast and checked into our hotel.

Following check-in, we prepared to play against the Belfast Stars, a super-league team. We fought hard; the game was very back-and-forth, but in the end we eventually fell in overtime. After the game, we explored the city and sampled some of the delicious pub grub. We then returned to the hotel and got some much-deserved sleep.

The following day, after enjoying breakfast in the hotel, we went on a bus tour of the city, stopping at famous spots that the IRA held during the war for independence. The walls of the buildings were covered in murals to commemorate the actions of those lost in the war. We then headed to Victoria Square and the city centre. We enjoyed walking and shopping in Victoria Square. Following our adventures in the square, the team walked around Belfast and took in the beautiful architecture, in particular city hall.

After walking around the city, we headed to our final stop of the day which was a tour of the Titanic museum. The museum is built on the spot where they built the Titanic and the building itself is as tall as the ship was. In the museum, we learned about how the Titanic was built and ultimately failed. Following the tour, we headed back to the hotel for dinner and some much-needed relaxation. After dinner, we enjoyed our last few hours and walked around Belfast for the last time, enjoying the night life and our time as a team. The next day, we were headed for Dublin.
