GETTYSBURG, Pa. -  The Haverford College Men's Basketball (4-9, 1-5 CC) suffered a midweek defeat to Gettysburg (9-4, 5-1 CC), falling 80-50 in a matchup that saw 35 three-pointers attempted between the two teams inside Bream Gym.

The Bullets kicked off the scoring, going on a quick 6-0 run to begin the game. Gettysburg forward Ryan McKeon went 3-3 from the field, recording all six points in the scoring stretch.

The Fords answered back, going on a 8-2 run of their own to tie the game at 8-8 with 12:56 to go in the opening half. Haverford knocked down three of five shots from the field in the scoring run, with Nick Klaiber and Gabriel Franklin posting four points each.

The Scarlet and Black continued to keep their foot on the pedal, tallying four more unanswered points on layups from Gaven Marr and Ali Kaan Bek, to go up 12-8 with 10:50 left in the first-half. The lead was short lived however, as the Bullets tied up the game at 12 each thanks to a basket from Jordan Stafford and two successful free-throws from Akim Joseph.

Staring at a 12-12 deadlock, Gettysburg started to get hot, going on a 8-0 scoring run in just under two minutes to take a 20-12 lead with 7:19 left in the opening stanza. The Bullets raced out to the eight point edge after going 2-of-2 from three-point land, 3-of-3 from the field, and getting five crucial points from Nate Williams.

Gettysburg continued piling on the points to close out the half, ending the first period on a 11-5 scoring run to head into the locker room up 31-17. The Bullets shot 55 percent from the field in the scoring span, with four different Gettysburg players contributing baskets.

The Scarlet and Black had three different scorers to end half number one, with Nicholas Stewart, Kaan Bek, and Klaiber all tallying points.

McKeon (eight points) and Joseph (seven points) caused the most trouble in the first half for the Bullets, while Klaiber edged all Haverford scorers with five points.

Gettysburg started the second half on fire, jumping out to a 12-0 scoring run to lead 43-17 with 17:38 remaining in the contest. The Bullets splashed in four consecutive three-pointers from four different shooters to take the 26-point lead.

Franklin drained a triple of his own to disrupt the scoring stretch from Gettysburg, but it was the Bullets who kept finding the bottom of the basket, outscoring the Fords 10-8 to take a 53-28 lead with 12:52 to go in the game. Joseph and Klaiber rattled off four points each in the back-and-forth stretch that warranted a Scarlet and Black timeout.

Out of the timeout, both teams would trade baskets hovering around a 27-point buffer for the next six-and-a-half minutes, with Gettysburg holding onto a 68-41 advantage with 5:47 remaining in the contest.

Shane Scott contributed six points in the stretch for the Bullets, while Haverford had five different scorers post points, most notably Seth Anderson notching his second-career basket.

For the final five minutes and change, the Bullets outpaced the Fords 12-9, to win the game 80-50. The final five-minute stretch saw six different Gettysburg competitors find nylon, while Haverford's Zach Perry recorded his seventh and eighth points of the season.

Pacing the Bullets in points was Joseph,as he finished the game with 18 points going 6-of-8 from the field, and 3-of-5 from behind the three-point arc. Gettysburg shot an impressive 55 percent from the field, and drilled 12 of 25 shots from downtown.
