Sean McGinn recently completed his second season as an assistant coach with the Haverford College Men’s Basketball team during the 2015-16 season. Prior to Haverford, Coach McGinn most recently worked at Wilmington University alongside Coach Singer as an Intern Assistant Basketball Coach for the men’s basketball program. His primary responsibilities included film breakdown, preparation of scouting reports, recruiting, and player development. His expertise focused primarily with the forwards and centers.

A 2014 graduate of Immaculata University, McGinn earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science/Sports Management with a minor in Business Administration. He also played for the Mighty Macs men's basketball team for two seasons, leading them to an appearance in the Colonial States Athletic Conference semifinals in 2012. McGinn graduated from Archbishop Wood High School in 2010, where he was a member of the basketball team for all four years, leading the Vikings to two playoff appearances in his four years with the program.

Outside of Haverford basketball, Coach McGinn is an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Maccabi 16U men’s team that recently won a silver medal in the 2014 Maccabi Games in Detroit, Mich. In recent summers, McGinn has been involved with the legendary Sonny Hill College League, which takes place every summer in Philadelphia. McGinn also serves as an instructor for Hoop Group Elite Camps, Brown University Elite Basketball Camp, Yale University Elite Basketball Camp and other Academic Elite Summer Camps during the summer months.

McGinn resides in Hatboro, Pa., where he also enjoys playing basketball, going to the gym, running, and working part time at his local church in his free time.
