Men's Squash Sends Vestrich-Shade to CSA Individual Championships

HAVERFORD, Pa. -- Senior Nathan Vestrich-Shade will represent Haverford College's squash program in the College Squash Association's (CSA) Individual Championships at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, Conn. this weekend.

There are four brackets for the CSA Individual Championships. The Pool (men's) and Ramsay (women's) Cups feature players from the top 32 teams in the Dunlop College Squash Team Rankings. The Molloy (men's) and Holleran (women's) Cups have players from the remaining teams in the rankings.

Vestrich-Shade will be competing in the Malloy Division, drawing the No. 16 spot. In the first round, he'll take on Lenard Puski of St. Lawrence University (N.Y.). The Haverford senior has competed in the Individual Championships each of the past two years. He'll hope to use his veteran experience to his advantage.

Throughout this season, Vestrich-Shade played every match out of the No. 1 position and accrued a 9-13 overall record. He also helped the team win in the first round CSA Team Championship, defeating Fordham University.

The round of 16 begins play on Friday with Vestrich-Shade and Puski getting underway at 12:45 p.m. Tournament action continues through the weekend. Live scoring will be made available on collegesquashassociation.com.
