Vestrich-Shade Competes in CSA Individual Championship First Round

STAMFORD, Conn. – The Haverford College men's squash team's Nathan Vestrich-Shade competed in the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championship first round Friday at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, Conn. Vestrich-Shade battled, but ultimately fell to his opponent, St. Lawrence University's Lenard Puski.

Vestrich-Shade lost in three hard fought games to Puski (11-5, 11-2, 11-5).

The Haverford senior has competed in the Individual Championships each of the past two years. Throughout this season, Vestrich-Shade played every match out of the No. 1 position and accrued a 9-14 overall record. He also helped the team win in the first round CSA Team Championship when the Fords defeated Fordham University.

Up next, Vestrich-Shade will play in the first round of the consolation bracket on Saturday at 9 a.m. His opponent will be Dartmouth College's Kyle Martino.
