Strong performance by Fords at TCNJ Last Chance Meet

EWING, N.J. - Several members of the Haverford College men's track team ran well at the Lions' Last Chance Meet hosted by The College of New Jersey on Thursday afternoon.

Ivo Milic-Strkalj highlighted the Fords' effort with a season-best time of 3 minutes, 52.45 seconds in the 1,500 meter run. Milic-Strkalj finished third and moved up to 27th on the  national performance list. Also running well in the 1,500 was Eric Arnold who finished in 3:55.55 to earn fifth place while Andrew Golato registered a career-best time of 3:57.95 to take sixth.  

Jordan Schilit, running the 800 for the first time this season, was the first Division III runner to finish with a time of 1:51.98. Schilit's time ranks 18th nationally.

National championship selections will be released by the NCAA on Sunday, May 20. The NCAA Division III 2012 Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships take place May 24-26 in Claremont, Calif.
