PHILADELPHIA - Haverford College men's track and field captain Ravi Eaton represented the Fords at the Penn Relays Friday, as the senior competed in the collegiate triple jump, placing 24th, in a crowded field of collegiate competitors. Amongst the talented group were nine leapers from division I schools.

After committing a foul in his first jump, Eaton leapt 12.84 meters (42 feet, 1.5 inches) in jump number two. His third jump was his best leap of the day, clearing 13.42 meters (44 feet, one-half inch), to claim 24th place overall.

Featuring some of the best jumpers spanning high school through the professional ranks, the Penn Relays is the oldest and largest continually running track and field competition in the United States.

Aside from Eaton and Peter LaRochelle who competed at the Penn Relays last evening, the remaining members of the men's track and field squad will be taking the weekend off from competition, as they set their sights on the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships which run from Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5 at Muhlenberg.
