Women's Outdoor Track & Field Schedule
HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's and women's outdoor track & field teams have released their respective schedules. Both teams are scheduled to run in 13 meets during the outdoor season as they will be competing in identical schedules.
The outdoor season will get underway during the first weekend of April when the teams travel to Widener for the Danny Curran Invitational on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, March 2. The Fords will also return to Chester, Pa. for the Widener Invitational on Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23, while serving as host to the Pride for the team's annual dual meet on the newly resurfaced Johnson Track with a midweek meet to be held on Tuesday, April 26.
Also included in the April slate are two trips to Princeton for the Tigers' distance nights on Friday, April 8 and Friday, April 22. The team will also makes trips to the West Chester Invitational (Apr. 8-9) and the Greyhound Invitational at Moravian (Apr. 16) during the opening month of the season. April's schedule closes with the Penn Relays that are scheduled for Thursday, April 28 through Saturday, April 30. During that same weekend, the team will also compete at the College of New Jersey Invitational on April 30.
When the calendar flips to May, it will be time for the postseason as the Centennial Conference Championships will be hosted by Dickinson from Friday, May 6 through Saturday, May 8. The men's outdoor track & field team placed second at last year's meet, while the women were third overall during the spring track season.
Two last chance meets are currently on the schedule for any runners looking to qualify for the NCAA Championships at the end of May. Swarthmore's meet will be held on Monday, May 16, while Widener's NCAA Qualifier meet will be held on Friday, May 20. The NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held in Waverly, Iowa from Thursday, May 26 through Saturday, May 28 for qualified individuals. Wartburg College will serve as the host of the national meet.
