PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Haverford College men's outdoor track and field team sent two runners to compete in the annual Sam Howell Invite hosted by Princeton University. Senior Charlie Marquardt came back with a second place finish in the 1,500m.

Marquardt, a senior, finished the run in 3:50.13. It came down to a tight finish as the next four finishers behind him completed the race less than six tenths of a second apart.

Sophomore Henry Woods also competed in the same event, clocking in at 4:01.57. He was just a few seconds off from his personal best of 3:58.92, set at last year's Centennial Conference Championships.

Haverford was originally scheduled to compete again in Saturday's West Chester Invitational. However, due to possible harsh weather conditions, the event has been postponed to Sunday.
