PRINCETON, N.J. - Three members of the Haverford College men's track & field team posted top-ten times in Division III this year at the Larry Ellis Invitational. Jamie Moreland, Reza Eshghi, and Ryan Kredell participated in the 1500 meters and impressed.

Jamie Moreland ran his first 1,500 race since finishing as an All-American in the 2022 NCAA Championships. The senior did not disappoint in his outdoor season debut in the distance and showed that he is progressing well during the 2023 outdoor season. Moreland finished 16th with a time of 3:48.14 just a second shy of his personal best of 3:47.10.

Ryan Kredell dropped down in distance to join his teammates and crossed the finish line with a personal best. The senior ran 3:50.72 which was good enough to drop a tick almost three seconds off his previous best of 3:53.32. Kredell finished 29th.

Reza Eshghi walked away with a big personal best in the event. Coming into the meet, Eshghi's best time was 3:55.87. That time came on April 22 during the 2022 season. The sophomore is developing into one of Haverford's more reliable runners after knocking four seconds off his personal best with a finishing time of 3:51.41.  Eshghi finished 33rd in the stacked 51-athlete event.

All three runners are currently ranked in the top ten of Division III this year as results continue to roll in. Moreland has settled into the second-place position while Kredell and Eshghi are eighth and tenth respectively.

The rest of the Fords will be in action tomorrow for the Bill Butler Invitational hosted by West Chester University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
