PHILADELPHIA - Two members of the Haverford College men's track & field team posted top times in Division III at the 127th annual Penn Relays at Franklin Field on Thursday evening. Jamie Moreland participated in the 1500 meters while Ryan Kredell took on the 5,000 meters.

Moreland narrowly beat his personal best in a loaded 1,500-meter field, finishing 20th out of 42 participants. Coming into the meet, Moreland's best time was 3.47.10 and he emphatically crossed the finish line in 3:37.08.

With that time, Moreland moved up to 10th on Haverford's all-time list and is currently seventh in Division III this season with results still rolling in across the national landscape. Moreland was also the top Division III finisher in the event which featured a bevy of top Division I runners.

Ryan Kredell ran the 5,000 meters two hours later and certainly didn't disappoint. Kredell finished in the top 15, crossing the finish line in 13th. The senior, who has already made history this season, put his name in the Haverford record books again, running 14:06.89, the fourth-best time in Haverford's illustrious history. His time is also good enough to place him eighth in Division III this outdoor season.

Both runners have etched their names in Haverford's record books and are showing no signs of slowing down as the end of the season approaches. One thing is for sure, Moreland and Kredell's performances this season and for their careers will be remembered for many years to come.

This is the last meet for the Fords before Centennial Conference Championships on May 5-7 at Ursinus. More information about next weekend's championships, including a detailed schedule of events, will be available soon.
