Full PhillySIDA Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - A trio of Haverford College men's track & field seniors earned inclusion on the Philadelphia Sports Information Directors Association (PhillySIDA) Academic All-Area squad, the organization announced in a release late last week. Earning the awards for Haverford was the trio of Aaron Bratt, Ryan Kredell, and Jamie Moreland

Bratt, a senior mathematics major from Bethesda, Maryland, was a stalwart through all three running seasons for the Fords. A PhillySIDA Academic All-Area selection in 2022, he was an Ambler Scholar Athlete and was named to the CC Academic Honor Roll in each season of eligibility. A three-time NCAA qualifier for cross country (2019, 2021, 22), and an All-Metro Region pick in 2022, Bratt also earned Second-team All-CC for cross country last season. He has also earned USTFCCCA All-Region for both indoor and outdoor track (5,000 meters and 10,000 meters).

Kredell, a senior economics major from Geneva, Ill. wrapped up a standout career across all three running seasons. A Cross Country All-American a season ago, he was named the USTFCCCA Metro Region Athlete of the Year, the Centennial Conference Runner of the Year, and the PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Performer of the Year for cross country. He also picked up Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Year for the outdoor season.

On the indoor track, he was an All-Metro Region selection in the 3,000 meters and the 5,000 meters in each of the last two seasons while also earning four All-Region certificates on the outdoor track so far during his career. Kredell has been named CC Athlete of the Week three times in the past two seasons.

Both the Centennial and Haverford records fell in the 5,000 meters at the Terrier Classic in Boston as Kredell crossed in 14:02.37, which ranked third in Division III at the time, and was the fifth all-time individual mark within Division III.

Moreland, a Los Angeles native, graduates after an illustrious career in which he was named the Centennial Conference Track Performer of the Meet for the 2023 outdoor season as well as the Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Year for the 2022-23 indoor season. A seven-team Centennial Track Athlete of the Week, he was named an All-American for the third time after a runner-up finish in the 1,500 meters.

In total, Haverford has now had 30 All-America certificates in the outdoor 1,500 meters, with Moreland becoming the first back-to-back All-America finisher for the Fords since Charlie Marquardt '16 achieved the feat in both 2015 and 2016. Moreland matched Marquardt's runner-up finisher from the 2015 championships with the seventh-fastest individual mark in program history.
