Men's Track & Field Opens Ursinus Track & Field Festival

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Haverford College men's track and field team kicked off action at the two-day Ursinus College Track & Field Festival on Friday evening, with a select group of runners and throwers taking the track.

Luke de Valpine marked his outdoor collegiate debut in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:15.18 to finish in eighth place overall. William Harris was 17th in 4:24.41 while Xingyun Yang crossed in 25th (4:36.95) for a new personal best. Kieran McDonnell was 27th to cross the finish line in 4:38.74, also a new personal-best mark, while Seawon Park crossed 29th (personal-best 4:40.96) and Cullen Worth was 31st in 4:43.81. 

In field events, Jonah Levine finished 22nd in the shot put, clearing 8.21 meters (26 feet, 11.25 inches). 

The Fords continue action tomorrow, as the two-day invitational in Collegeville is expected to resume at 10 a.m.
