Women’s cross country finishes 13th at Brooks-Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Facing some stiff competition from Division I, II and III, the Haverford College women's cross country team came in 13th of 39 teams at the Brooks-Paul Short Run on Friday afternoon at Lehigh University. Haverford was the fourth D-III team to cross the finish line.

Emily Lipman was the Fords' top-finisher, coming in 10th of 339 runners in a time of 22 minutes. Just four D-III competitors finished ahead of Lipman.

Alice Vienneau (23:32), Harper Hubbeling (23:33) and Liz Zoidis (23:34) finished 97th, 98th and 100th, respectively. Caity Tully came in four seconds behind Zoidis, taking 108th place.

A pair of freshman rounded out the Fords' effort, but did not score. Sally Weathers crossed in 23:52 while Sheera Rosenbaum finished in 24:02.

In the junior varsity race 13 Fords competed. Mary Morgan had HC's highest finish, coming in 97th of 283 in a time of 24:18. She was the only Haverford runner to crack the top-100.

Haverford will race again on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Princeton Invitational. Race time is 10 a.m.
