Lipman finishes among leaders at Princeton Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Haverford College women's cross country team finished in sixth place at the 6-kilometer Princeton Invite Saturday morning paced by sophomore Emily Lipman who scored a fifth place finish for the Fords.

Lipman completed the course in a time of 23 minutes, 36.7 seconds. University of Maryland-Baltimore County's Suzanne Gabriel (23:15.7) was the top finisher.

The four remaining scoring runners for the Fords finished in a pack separated by just 16 seconds.

Harper Hubbeling's 35th place time of 25:09.5 was one-tenth of a second ahead of teammate Elizabeth Zoidis in 36th. Caitlyn Tully finished 38th (25:16.1) with Aileen Keogh rounding out the scoring for Haverford in 41st place with a time of 25:25.7.

Columbia won the team title with 28 points easily outpacing runner-up South Carolina's 77 points and third place St. Joseph's 95 points. Haverford totaled 155 points in the nine-team race.

Next up for the Fords women is Friday's Haverford Invitational on the team's own Alumni Course.
