Women’s cross country takes ninth at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Haverford College women's cross country team took part in the Princeton Invitational Saturday morning, taking ninth of 12 teams with 225 points. The Fords were the only Division III team competing in the race.

All five of Haverford's scoring runners finished within a minute of each other. Liz Zoidis was the first Ford to cross, taking 35th in a time of 23 minutes, 19.90 seconds. Alice Vienneau finished 10 seconds behind Zoidis for 42nd place.

Sharon Warner clocked in at 23:45.40 to take 52nd. Andrea Tocci (23:50.40) and Flora Berklein (24:15.00) finished 56th and 70th, respectively. Emily Lipman was HC's sixth finisher and came in at 24:18.60 to give Haverford six runners finishing within a minute.

Laura Sinclair of George Mason University finished first with a time of 21:40.80. Iona College won the invitational with 58 points.

The Fords will host the Haverford Invitational Friday at 4:30 p.m. on Alumni Course.
