Women's Cross Country Ranked 22nd Heading to NCAA Championship

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's cross country team will enter the 2015 NCAA Championship as the 22nd ranked team in the country as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Fords were ranked No. 20 in the poll heading into the NCAA Mideast Regional.

Haverford recently was named as one of the 16 teams across all eight regions that received an at-large bid to the championship race. The Fords were edged out by Dickinson over the weekend despite four all-region performances from the squad.

The Fords will now prepare for the 15th trip to the NCAA Championship in program history. The team has made the national meet in six of the past seven seasons and 11 of the last 14 season overall. The team's highest finish came during a 10th place showing during the 1993 season its first trip as an entire team.

The 2015 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country National Championship will take place this Saturday in Winneconne, Wisconsin. The women's race will be run at 12 p.m. EST (11 a.m. locally in Wisconsin). That race will be followed by the men's start at 1:30 p.m. EST (12:30 p.m. local).
