USTFCCCA Poll

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its first poll of the regular season and the Haverford College women's cross country team came in at No. 16 with 162 voting points in the poll. The Fords are down two spots from their No. 14 position in the preseason poll.

Haverford has run in just its Alumnae/Open race to date this season. Nicole Giannetti was the Fords' top finisher in that meet with a time of 18:11.71 over the three mile course. Katie Sullivan, MaryKate Cavanaugh, Sophie Drew, and Alison Love were the team's top five finishers in the meet that saw several former standouts return to campus.

The Fords held their position as the No. 2 team in the Mideast Region during the latest set of rankings. Johns Hopkins retained the No. 1 spot in the region and No. 3 ranking in the national poll. Elizabethtown (No. 22) and Dickinson (No. 32) give the Mideast Region four teams that are currently in the national rankings.

The Fords will be back on their home course this Friday as they host the Main Line Invitational on the Alumni Cross Country Course. The women's race will get underway at 5 p.m. with the men's race to follow at 5:30 p.m.
