Katie Sullivan Honored as CC Runner of the Week

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Katie Sullivan has been named the Centennial Conference Runner of the Week following a strong showing at the Paul Short Invitational. The honor is the first weekly award of her career after she earned first-team All-CC honors and All-Mideast Region honors a season ago.

Racing in a field of 373 entrants, Sullivan crossed the line in a personal best time of 21:25 to finish 11th overall in a pack that included Division I and II entrants, along with several nationally-ranked Division III teams. Sullivan has been the Fords' top finisher in each of the past two races. A team captain, Sullivan's race helped guide the Fords to a 15th place finish out of 42 teams in the field.

Women's cross country, ranked No. 17 in last week's USTFCCCA Poll, will return to action with select individuals competing at the DeSales Invitational this Saturday at 11 a.m. That event will also be the same course the team will see at the Mideast Regional in November with a spot in the NCAA Championship on the line.
