HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's cross country team held its position in the Mideast Regional poll, but saw a slight drop in the national rankings as the Fords are No. 24 in this week's edition of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll.

There was no movement among the top seven teams in the regional rankings as the Fords continue to hold at third behind Centennial Conference foes Johns Hopkins and Dickinson. Elizabethtown and DeSales round out the Mideast's top five teams. Despite keeping its strong position in the region, the Fords slipped seven spots in the national rankings and are currently receiving 103 voting points.

Women's cross country is coming off of a 15th place finish in the Brown Race of the Paul Short Invitational this past weekend. Haverford's showing was highlighted by an 11th place finish from Katie Sullivan which earned her Centennial Conference Runner of the Week honors.

The Fords will return to competition this weekend with a limited squad at the DeSales Invitational. Saturday's race will get underway at 11 a.m. and is the same course the Fords will see at the Mideast Regional during the middle of November.
