HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's cross country team defeated Swarthmore to finish as the top Division III team at the Main Line Invitational on Friday. With separate Division I and Division III scoring in a field that also included the University of Pennsylvania and Villanova, the No. 29 Fords defeated the Garnet by a 19-42 score.

The Fords swept the top three places among the Division III entrants with the senior trio of Nicole Giannetti, Amelia Keyser-Gibson, and Katie Sullivan leading the way. Giannetti was the first Division III runner across the line as she finished in a time of 17:56.1. Keyser-Gibson and Sullivan were less than 10 second behind her with times of 18:05.1 and 18:05.4.

The Fords wrap up the month of September with the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational on Saturday, September 30. That race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and will also be the site of the Mideast Regional during the month of November.
