HAVERFORD, Pa. – Hannah Doll found out the official news on Sunday afternoon that she will in fact represent the Haverford College women's cross country team at the 2018 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. With Carnegie Mellon being selected as an at-large team to the national meet, Doll was the fifth overall finisher in the region not on one of the qualifying teams, guaranteeing her one of the seven individual at-large selections.

The 2018 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships will be held this coming Saturday, November 17 in Oshkosh, Wisc. The women's race is set for an 11:15 a.m. local start (12:15 p.m. in the Eastern time zone).

Despite Doll's good news, the Fords were not selected as an at-large team to the national meet despite finishing fourth in the Mideast Regional. Haverford placed two spots higher than its regional ranking entering the weekend, but was left just on the outside as the national committee picked just one team from the region in its 16 at-large selections.

Doll, a sophomore, has been Haverford's top finisher in every race she entered this fall. She will be making her second appearance at the NCAA Championships after placing 222nd last season as the Fords qualified as a team. In the 32 year history of the women's cross country program, Haverford has now been represented at the national meet during 26 of those seasons. The Fords have sent their whole team on 17 occasions, while individual qualifiers have represented Haverford an additional 10 times after today's announcement.
