Women's Cross Country Announces 2023 Schedule

Full 2023 Schedule

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College Women's Cross Country team will host a trio of home meets as part of the 2023 slate, as the fall schedule was unveiled on Thursday afternoon. The Fords will open up action at the Alumni Cross Country Course with the Alumnae/Open race taking place on Saturday, September 9.

The Main Line Invitational opens up the season in earnest, marking its return to campus on Friday, September 15, as the Fords welcome in teams from throughout the area before many of those same teams head to Bethelem for the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University (Sept. 30), a meet widely considered the largest and most prestigious on the Eastern Seaboard.

The meet at the Goodman campus of Lehigh serves as an early season test before the 2023 NCAA Pre-Nationals Invitational, hosted by Dickinson at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa on October 7. Teams from across the nation will descend on Central Pennsylvania for the first opportunity to preview the national championship course before the late fall weather takes its toll.

The next competition on the docket is the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle (Oct. 14), as the Fords head to South Jersey to run against some of the top teams in the area.  A late-season home meet, the Haverford Invitational is set for October 26, before the Centennial Conference Championships at McDaniel on October 28.

The NCAA Metro Region Championships return to the Rowan course at the DREAM Park in Logan Township, N.J. on November 11. The NCAA Division III Championships are slated for Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa. as Dickinson hosts the national meet.
