Women's Cross Country Slotted Sixth in Centennial Conference Preseason Poll

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's cross country team has been slotted sixth in the Centennial Conference preseason poll, the conference office announced in a release on Wednesday morning. 

The Fords were projected sixth with 37 total voting points. Reigning CC champs Johns Hopkins topped the poll as they collected 81 total points and nine first place votes. Dickinson, the host site of this year's NCAA Division III Championship, received the remaining first place vote and 72 total voting points while Swarthmore was projected third with 61 total points. 

Ursinus (60 points) and Gettysburg (48) rounded out the top five. Haverford was picked ahead of Franklin & Marshall (34), Bryn Mawr (24), Muhlenberg (22), and McDaniel (11).

The Haverford women's team has qualified to the NCAA Championships as a team 18 times while being represented by individuals on 12 other occasions.

The 2023 season will begin with the Alumnae Open race slated to take place on Saturday, September 9 at 5 p.m. The Centennial Conference Championships are slated for McDaniel on October 28, 2023.
