Strayer picks up win for Fords in match loss to highly-ranked Dips

LANCASTER, Pa. – Alisa Strayer earned the lone win for the Haverford College women's squash team in its 8-1 loss to No. 17 Franklin & Marshall College in the regular season finale Sunday afternoon.

The Fords, ranked 34th, head into next weekend's Howe Cup Team Championship in Princeton, N.J., with a 1-10 record. F&M closes out its regular season with an 8-10 mark.

Strayer won her match in the No. 9 slot by a 3-2 count over F&M's Rachel Zuckerman. Strayer struck first with an 11-7 win but Zuckerman answered back with a win in game two.

The next two games mirrored the first two results, Strayer earning a win and Zuckerman rallying back, sending the match into its third set knotted at 2-2.

The fifth game went to Strayer as she pulled out an 11-6 win for the Fords' lone win in the match.
