HARTFORD, Conn. - Junior Caroline Nightingale of the Haverford College women's squash team will match up against some of the best squash players in the country this weekend at Trinity College as part of the field for the College Squash Association (CSA) 2013 Women's Individual Championships.

Invited to participate in the Holleran Cup division, Nightingale will cap off the season by competing against players ranked 33rd and higher. The Holleran Cup was instituted by the CSA following the 2003 season. The top 32 players in the nation will vie for the Ramsay Cup which has been contested at the conclusion of the collegiate squash season since 1965.

Nightingale went 5-9 on the year in the No. 1 spot for the Fords including a hard-fought victory against Jessica Rubine of Tufts University on Feb. 17. The win accounted for Haverford's final point of the match as the Fords rallied for a 6-3 victory in the final of the E Division at the national team championships.

Individual championship action begins on Friday morning as Nightingale takes on Randima Ranaweera of Mount Holyoke College at 9 a.m. The outcome of Nightingale's initial match will dictate the time and opponent of her next contest in the double-elimination tournament.
