Miller recognized for standout play at CSA championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Hannah Miller of the Haverford College women's squash team earned plaudits for a strong end to her career at the 2013 Women's College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championships. The senior was recognized as the standout player of the E Division.

Helping the Fords to the E Division title during the CSA championships last month, Miller went 3-0 over the course of the weekend of competition hosted by Yale University. Playing at No. 8, Miller thrived under pressure as she opened the weekend with a five-game victory (11-4, 10-12, 6-11, 12-10, 11-8) over Dipshikha Mahajan of Smith College. Miller then kept rolling by rallying for a four-set win (2-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-7) over New York University's Lina Want. Capping the championship weekend, Miller outlasted Chelsea Dickinson of Tufts University in five games (11-1, 5-11, 11-9, 3-11, 13-11).

Miller finished 6-12 overall on the season.
