Women's Squash Handed Loss From Mount Holyoke College

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Haverford College women's squash team was defeated by Mount Holyoke College 8-1 in the first match of the Epps Cup consolation bracket Saturday at Yale University. The Fords entered the tournament ranked No. 32 while Mount Holyoke was ranked No. 29.

In the No. 2 spot, Isabelle Gotuaco posted Haverford's only team point of the day, defeating her opponent in four games. She lost the first game, but rallied to win the match in comeback fashion (4-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8).

Junior Isabel Agnew lost a well played match. After dropping a tough first game (11-8), she won the second game (11-9) and then lost the next two.

The loss drops the Haverford women to 6-13 overall. The Fords will finish out their season with a match against Boston College on Sunday at Choate Rosemary Hall beginning at 1 p.m.
