Reese, Miller Represent Haverford at CSA Individual Championships

WASHINGTON, D.C.. – The Haverford College squash programs were represented by sophomores Kaitlin Reese and Tate Miller during the College Squash Association Individual championships at the Squash on Fire complex in Washington D.C. on Friday, with each competing in a pair of matches.

Reese was paired up with Maddie O'Connor of Columbia in the Holleran Cup East Bracket. Reese's Round of 16 opponent from the Lions took the match with game scores of 11-5, 11-1 and 11-3. In the afternoon match, Reese went up against Carey Danforth of Virginia, falling by final scores of 11-4, 11-2 and 11-8.

Miller competed in the Molloy Division South Bracket. In the round of 16, Miller was defeated 11-7, 11-9, 11-6 by Ziad Sakr of national champion Trinity. In the afternoon match, Miller faced off with Frank Goossens of Dickinson. Goossens advanced with an 11-7, 11-7, 11-2 victory to reach the consolation semifinals.

Reese finishes the season with a 9-11 overall record and now has a 21-18 overall record at the end of her sophomore campaign, competing at the top two spots on the ladder for Haverford.

Miller finishes his season at 6-13 overall and 19-24 for his career through two full seasons, competing primarily at the number one spot on the ladder for the Fords.

Both programs will now await the release of the CSA Scholar Athletes, expected to be released later this month.
