CARLISLE, Pa. - The No. 29 Haverford women's squash team (8-7) dropped a pair of matches at the Dickinson Round Robin on Saturday, falling to No. 23 Dickinson by a 6-3 final and No. 18 Franklin & Marshall by a 7-2 decision at the Kline Center. The Fords came into the contest with four straight match victories. The second annual meeting of squash programs from Centennial Conference schools serves as a prelude to the postseason tournaments, as the regular season has now concluded.

Dickinson 6, Haverford 3

In the morning match with the Red Devils, Haverford added tallies to its ledger at the seventh through ninth flights. Urgyen Wangmo defeated Rachel O'Brien at the seventh spot on the ladder, outlasting her opponent in a 13-11 battle before breezing to an 11-2 victory to pull to the brink of victory. The third ended in a 12-10 win for Wangmo. Sophia Jackson was also able to grab a win at the eighth flight, turning away a second-game victory from Catherine Nolan to prevail in four (11-6, 10-12, 11-5, 11-3). Caroline Smith was victorious for the visitors, allowing just 13 points in her sweep of Sarah Wojtczak (11-3, 11-7, 11-3). In the exhibition, Hannah Adler prevailed over Katelynn Young in five games.

Elsewhere, Shreya Singh looked poised at the fourth flight, taking her opponent to extra points in a 13-11 loss in the second game before turning that margin around in an 11-9 fourth-game triumph. At the fifth flight, Sunny Chai prevailed in the second game over Doxey Loupassi before the Red Devils opponent eventually took the victory with 11-5 and 11-3 victories in the final two games of action.

Franklin & Marshall 7, Haverford 2

In the afternoon match with the Diplomats, Haverford again took wins at the eighth and ninth flights, with Jackson and Caroline Smith prevailing in sweeps. Jackson took down Paisley Dianastasis in straight games at the eighth flight (11-6, 12-10, 11-3) while Caroline Smith allowed just 16 total points in her thorough victory at the ninth (11-4, 11-6, 11-6). Adler again prevailed in her exhibition match with Mimi Fairbanks, in a five-game battle. Despite a sweep at the second flight, Franklin & Marshall's Emily Bartos faced perhaps the strongest single-game challenge of the afternoon as Kaitlin Reese was defeated 15-13 in a tense affair.

The Fords will now await the release of the pairings for the CSA Women's Team Championships, which will begin on Friday, February 21 in New Haven, Conn. Draws and schedule information are typically released in the early part of the week preceding the championships.
