HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford women's squash team matched a program record by placing four student-athletes on the College Squash Association (CSA) Scholar-Athletes list for the 2020-21 academic year. Senior Eva Tamkin picked up the plaudit, joining a trio of juniors Isabelle Johnson, Shreya Singh, and Urgyen Wangmo in earning the award.

The Scholar-Athlete Award was granted this season to varsity juniors or seniors who have played on the team throughout their college career, have earned at least two varsity letters, would have been eligible to compete this season, and achieved a high academic standing at their institution. CSA Scholar Athletes embody the values of the association, achieving a high level of play on court while excelling in the classroom.

Tamkin, an Economics major from Port Washington, N.Y., studied abroad during the entirety of the 2019-20 season, and went 4-1 at the eighth flight during the 2018-19 campaign as she began that season with a stretch of five consecutive victories, going nearly a full month without a loss.

Johnson, a biology major and co-captain of the Fords, has recorded an 18-10 career record while appearing at the top two flights for Haverford. A Mount Kisco, N.Y. product, she registered eight of her victories during the 2019-20 season via sweep.

Singh, a Growth & Structure of Cities and Fine Arts double major from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has compiled 11 career wins while appearing in the top half of the ladder for Haverford. She has seen action mainly at the fourth flight for the Fords and recorded five of her six victories in the 2019-20 season via sweep.

Wangmo, a biology major and co-captain from New York City, compiled an 11-7 overall record during the 2019-20 campaign, playing between the fifth and eighth spots on the ladder. She holds a 20-10 overall career record during her Haverford tenure and went an unblemished 3-0 at the 2020 CSA Team Championships.

Haverford finished the 2019-20 season with the No. 29 ranking after finishing as the fifth-place team in the Epps Cup division at the CSA Team Championships in February of 2020. The Fords won 10 matches for the first time since the 2014-15 season that year, equalling the most in program single-season history.
