LANCASTER, Pa. - The No. 28 Haverford women's squash team (3-6) returned to the win column with a 7-2 victory over No. 39 Chatham (0-10), as the two sides met in neutral site action at Franklin & Marshall's Mayser Center on Friday night.

Haverford received dominating wins in a thorough performance at the third through sixth flights, with Ariana Solecki surrendering just one point in her sweep of Yukta Rana at the third.

Catherine Fortin did not allow a single point in her sweep of Yushi Zhang at the fourth, and Shreya Singh allowed just one point in her sweep of Farzeen Shaikh at the fifth flight. At the sixth flight, Emi Krishnamurthy allowed only four points in her sweep of Bandhana Phuyal.

A pair of top players in Sofia Ramos and Valentina Della-Maddalena put the Cougars into the win column, with Ramos sweeping past Zahra Khan and Della-Maddalena getting the best of Izzy Johnson in four games.

Haverford then earned its wins at the seventh through ninth flights by default as the Cougars had only six healthy players in Lancaster.

The Fords next return home to wrap up the month on January 29 with home contests against No. 25 Georgetown (10:30 a.m.) and No. 30 Vassar (3:30 p.m.) at the GIAC Squash Courts. The contests will be Haverford's first competitive action at home since November 19.
