PHILADELPHIA - After last weekend's Liberty League Championships, the Haverford squash programs are gearing up for the inaugural College Squash Association (CSA) Divisional Team Championships at Philadelphia's Arlen Specter Center this weekend.

Teams ranked 13th through 34th in the latest national rankings will compete for the Hoehn, Summers, and Conroy Cups in the men's division, and the Kurtz and Walker Cups in the women's division. This divisional format is new for 2024, departing from the previous format where all varsity teams descended on separate men's and women's championship weekends throughout February.

The Haverford women's squash team, with a record of 4-12, enters as the 29th-ranked team in the nation and will compete as the ninth seed in the Walker Cup (also known as C Division). They are locked into a first-round matchup with NESCAC foe No. 28 Hamilton (2-10). The two squads last faced off in January 2022, resulting in a victory for the Continentals in Pioneer Valley Invitational action at Amherst.

The winner of that quarterfinal will advance to face top-seeded Wesleyan at 6:30 p.m., while the loser will play at the same time in consolation action against the team losing in the matchup between Liberty League foes St. Lawrence and Bard. Action up and down the bracket continues into Saturday, with the final on deck for Sunday morning.

On the men's side, Haverford, ranked 32nd with a record of 6-10, will participate in Conroy Cup action, joining a round-robin tournament starting on Saturday at 9 a.m. The Fords will take on No. 35 Bard in a rematch of last Sunday's action to kick things off, before going toe-to-toe with No. 31 Connecticut College at 6:30 p.m. in "Group 2" play.

The other group, "Group 1", features No. 33 Vassar, No. 30 Wesleyan, and No. 34 Fordham. Crossover playoffs are then slated for Sunday with divisional championship, third-place, and fifth-place matchups. Haverford has two wins over Vassar and one against Bard thus far in 2023-24, while dropping matchups to Wesleyan and Connecticut College.

Fans can visit the Tournament Homepage for important information, including draws with live scoring, links to live streams, and the weekend's order of play. The live stream links will be active beginning on Friday morning.
