The 4x400 meter relay capped off the exciting day three of the Centennial Conference Championships, as the quartet of Thornberry, Dominique Monroy, Anastasia Jaycobs, and D’Aulerio zoomed to a time of 4:03.66, to earn third place (six points).
It was a day to remember in the 4x800 meter relay, as the team of Dominique Monroy, Anastasia Jaycobs, Savannah Shaw, and Isabel Thornberry crossed the finish line in third place.
Featuring some of the best runners spanning high school through the professional ranks, the Penn Relays is the oldest and largest continually running track and field competition in the United States.
Olivia D’Aulerio secured a sixth place finish in the 400 meters, dashing to a new personal best time of 57.58. The blazing time is now the second best pace in school history for the outdoor 400 meters. Brianna Feifer also picked up a new personal best in the event, hustling to a time of 1:07.32, to snag 53rd.
The Fords had a bevy of competitors in the 100, 200, 400, 800, 400-meter hurdles, 4x100 meter relay, and triple jump on Saturday afternoon in Collegeville.
Over at the 5000 meters, first-year Poppy Chrisman made her event debut, placing 10th with a time of 20:14.20. In 14th-place was Audrey Carter completing the race in 21:40.43, while Judy Xie finished in 17th-place with a time of 22:44.42.
Three men and three women can qualify for the USA Team at the trials in Orlando and the nation’s best elite distance runners will all battle for those vital podium places.

To be nominated for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.40 or higher.
