The Haverford College Department of Athletics announced the hiring of Justyce Pollitt as Assistant Fitness Center Director/Strength and Conditioning Coach in September of 2021. In addition to his certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), Pollitt is an Olympic Strength Coach in Javelin and brings a wealth of experience from the health and fitness industry.

"I'm thrilled to join the Fords in the journey for greatness. I hope to not only teach, but learn from my new family throughout my journey here at Haverford. Ready and willing to get started!", stated Pollitt.

Pollitt joins Haverford from his alma mater, Rowan University, where he served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 academic years. He was the lead strength & conditioning program coordinator for the men's and women's track & field teams, as well as the men's and women's swimming programs and the women's lacrosse program. In this capacity, Pollitt was responsible for designing and implementing a variety of assessments to evaluate performance while maintaining the weight room and equipment on a daily basis.

In addition to his role working closely with student-athletes at Rowan, Pollitt worked as a fitness instructor for JBForce Fitness in Burlington County, N.J., implementing custom workout plans via virtual and in-person sessions. He previously served as a personal trainer at The Edge Fitness Clubs in Delran, N.J. for over two years, guiding clients through individualized training plans while also facilitating group training sessions and assessing nutritional guidelines and needs.

A native of South Jersey, Pollitt graduated from Rowan in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health and Exercise Science and a concentration in Health Promotion and Wellness Management. A USTFCCCA All-Academic track & field athlete for the Profs, Pollitt was a team captain and earned All-America honors in the long jump during the 2014-15 indoor campaign.
