HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Centennial Conference has announced the 2015 Fall Academic Honor Roll. With 59 of the 517 student-athletes honored coming from Haverford, the Fords were well represented against the other schools from around the conference. The academic honor roll recognizes sophomores, juniors and seniors that have a 3.40 cumulative grade point average or higher.
Field hockey and men’s soccer led the conference with 12 honorees in their respective sports. Both the men’s (13 honorees) and women’s cross country (10 honorees) teams, along with the volleyball team (7 honorees), ranked second among their conference peers. Women’s soccer also added five individuals to the conference’s academic honor roll.
Of those 59 student-athletes that were named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, 12 were also represented on their All-Centennial Conference teams. Highlighting that list was men’s soccer player and scholar athlete of the year Sam Yarosh. Sarah Waldis also earned scholar athlete of the year honors in field hockey.
Additionally, Michael Brier (men’s cross country), Sam Fujimori (men’s cross country), Nicholas Gandolfo-Lucia (men’s cross country, Henry Woods (men’s cross country), Allison Martin (field hockey), Will Corkery (men’s soccer), Colin Seitz (men’s soccer), Maclyn Willigan (men’s soccer), Abby Letts (women’s soccer), and Keri Godbe (volleyball) were also all-conference and academic honor roll honorees.
