HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Centennial Conference announced the 2015 Spring Academic Honor Roll on Thursday. With 68 of the 389 student-athletes represented coming from Haverford, the Fords topped all the other schools in the conference with the most individual recipients.
The academic honor roll recognizes sophomores, juniors and seniors who are key performers on their respective teams (played/competed in at least 50 percent of the team’s varsity competitions) and have a 3.40 cumulative grade point average or higher.
Aiding Haverford in pacing the rest of the Centennial Conference were five of the Fords’ eight teams that each topped their respective sports with the number of individuals honored. Men’s outdoor track & field led all teams in the Centennial Conference for the whole year with 18 representatives. Men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, and baseball each claimed eight representatives to pace their respective sports, while softball had a conference-leading seven individuals honored.
Women’s outdoor track & field garnered 11 student-athletes on the academic honor roll, while women’s tennis and men’s tennis finished with five and three representatives, respectively. Women’s tennis trailed on Johns Hopkins' six student-athletes on the academic honor roll, while women’s track & field was just two behind the top teams in the conference.
