RED OUT Declared for Saturday's Games vs. Swarthmore

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has declared a “RED OUT” for Saturday’s basketball doubleheader against Swarthmore. All Haverford fans are encouraged to wear red for both the men’s and women’s basketball games against rival Swarthmore. Reminder: RED ONLY – no Garnet.

Saturday’s doubleheader will also be Senior Day for both the men’s and women’s teams in what will be the final home games of the regular season. The women’s game is slated to tip at 1 p.m., while the men’s game is scheduled to get underway at 3 p.m. Both teams will honor the graduating members of their senior classes before the tip of Saturday’s games.

Fans will also have the chance to purchase red t-shirts at the door Saturday. Proceeds from the “RED OUT” t-shirt sale will benefit the ALS Foundation. The ALS Association is the only national non-profit organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. The cause, cure and means of control of ALS are unknown. Symptoms of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, include the wasting and paralysis of the muscles of the limbs and trunk as well as those that control vital functions such as speech, swallowing and respiration.
