Butera named third-team all-region

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Junior Jeff Butera of the Haverford College baseball team was named Third-Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region Monday afternoon. This award caps off a season that saw Butera garner First-Team All-Centennial Conference honors.

Butera led the Fords in batting (.403), slugging percentage (.701), runs scored (41), hits (58), RBI (53), doubles (14), home runs (9) and total bases (101). He finished the regular season in the top-10 of the Centennial in nine offensive categories. Butera batted .358 in conference games, hitting safely in 13 of 18 games, and drove in 22 RBI. The outfielder received NCAA Division III National Co-Hitter of the Week honors by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association March 18 and was named Centennial Conference Player of the Week (March 15).
