Virtual Senior Days: Baseball Honors Class of 2020

With the 2020 spring sport seasons halted early, the Haverford College Athletic Department is recognizing the seniors from each spring sport in a virtual ceremony, with some special help from each team's junior class. Up first, the seven seniors from the baseball team.

2020 Haverford College Baseball Senior Class 

  • In four years on campus, the squad has registered 64 wins, earned two appearances in the Centennial Conference tournament, and reached the Centennial Conference Championship Game in 2019
  • The Fords have captured the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Academic Team Award in each season of eligbility, and have been consistently among the most well represented teams on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll
  • Two members of the squad, Brandon Jenkins and Lucas Greenbaum, were named Ambler Scholar Athletes, a distinction bestowed upon individuals with the Top 15 Senior Student-Athlete GPAs at Haverford College

Harrison Burns  • #2 • Outfielder •  Economics •  St Louis, Mo. 

  • Senior co-captain was a versatile presence in the lineup for the Fords, seeing time in both the outfield and infield during his career
  • Proved to be a major threat on the basepaths, swiping 34 career bases
  • Hit .308 for his career, with 98 hits and 45 RBI in 318 at-bats 
  • Named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll (2019)

Lucas Greenbaum • #18 •  Right-Handed Pitcher • History • Berkeley, Calif. 

  • In 12 career appearances, owns a 3.79 ERA 
  • Logged 7.1 innings in shortened senior season, striking out six batters 
  • Scored first career run as a pinch runner against Carroll on March 12 

Brandon Jenkins • #6 • Left-Handed Pitcher • Mathematics • Monrovia, Calif.

  • 2019 Centennial Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year
  • 2019 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team 
  • Tied for third in program hitters in runners picked off (9)
  • Seventh in program history in saves (6)

Will Karp • #1 • Shortstop • Economics • Princeton, N.J. 

  • Back-to-back Centennial Conference Gold Glove of the Year Award winner (2018, 19), first ever player to earn that disctinction
  • Mid-Atlantic ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Third Team (2019)
  • Fourth in program history with 82 stolen bases, and also ranks in the top 10 in program history in defensive double plays turned, stolen base percentage, infield assists, and runs scored

Dylan Livingston • #11 • Right-Handed Pitcher • Physics • Sands Point, N.Y.

  • Made 24 career starts at Haverford, becoming a stalwart in the rotation for the Fords 
  • Twirled a gem against then-No. 6 Wooster on March 17, 2018, striking out a season-best 10 batters in six shutout innings
  • Propelled the Fords into the Centennial Conference Championship with five innings of one-hit relief against Franklin & Marshall (May 4, 2019) 

Owen Plambeck • #16 • Outfielder • Computer Science • Palo Alto, Calif. 

  • Hit two home runs in the 2017 Centennial Conference tournament, making an immediate splash in his first trip to the postseason. 
  • Transitioned from catching to corner infield and outfield roles through his career, and never surrendering his power as he clubbed nine home runs 
  • Went on a tear during the team's 2020 spring break trip to Fort Myers, Fla, hitting .371 and roping a program-record three doubles against No. 16 Wooster (Mar. 9, 2020) 

Luke Wallis • #8 • Infielder • Political Science • Washington, D.C. 

  • After appearing in a reserve role in his first two seasons on campus, had a breakout junior campaign hitting .286 with five doubles and a pair of homers 
  • One of those homers was a dramatic, towering three-run blast on the road in extra innings at Muhlenberg, giving the Fords the late lead in the pivotal conference clash 
  • Hit .400 with 11 RBI and 10 runs scored in shortened 2020 campaign
