April 18, 2017

Recap | Box Score

Matt Goss '18 delivered the walk-off hit against Muhlenberg in this 2017 classic on Kannerstein Field. That victory came after a back-and-forth battle and eventually jump-started a 6-2 stretch to close the regular season as the Fords once again advanced to the Centennial Conference Tournament. Haverford was down early but first-year hurler Dylan Livingston '20 continued to battle en route to a quality six-inning outing before Ben Verducci '17 picked up the win in relief. Strong defense aided the pitching staff as the Fords turned a pair of double plays to escape trouble and also threw out a runner at home trying to score the go-ahead run during the top of the eighth with the game tied at five.
