Haverford Baseball Hosts 15th Annual Golf Outing and Alumni Game

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College Baseball program held its 15th annual Golf Classic on Friday, September 29, at French Creek Golf Club in Elverson, Pa. while the program's annual alumni contest took place on the following day, Saturday, September 30 on Kannerstein Field. In total, Sixty-six golfers participated in the golf classic while thirty-one alums took part in Saturday's game. 

The foursome of Spencer Sohmer '18, Ben Furlong '18, Luke Wallis '20 and Sam Partee '19 won first place at the golf outing, checking in with a score of 11-under par.  Patrick Falkoff '14, Charlie Carluccio '11, Alex Hudak '13 and Jared Frydman finished in second place with a score of 10-under par, while Kenny McApline '07, Chase Kennedy '10, Ryan Stephens '07 and John Oh '06 placed third at nine-under par.

Carluccio won the longest drive competition, but the highlight of the event (and closest to pin honor) was Zach Crampton's '23 mesmerizing hole-in-one on the Par-three 10th hole.

Haverford Baseball begins its 2024 season on Saturday, February 24 at Gwynedd Mercy University. Last season, Haverford made its 14th appearance in the Centennial Conference tournament.
