
HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College Baseball program hosted its 16th annual Golf Classic on Friday, September 27, at French Creek Golf Club in Elverson, Pa., followed by the annual alumni game on Saturday, September 28, at Kannerstein Field.
Due to rainy conditions on campus, the alumni game was limited to hitting and pitching activities in the indoor facility. On Friday, a total of 56 golfers participated in the Golf Classic, while 29 took part in the alumni game.
The team of Charlie Carluccio '11, Alex Hudak '13, Patrick Falkoff '14, and Jared Frydman claimed first place with a 10-under-par score of 61. Ben Furlong '18, Chaon Garland '91, Darren Garland, and Jim Thompson '04 secured second place with a 9-under-par 62, and the group of Andrew Johnson '21, Lucas Greenbaum '20, Harrison Burns '20, and Ryan Giovenco '21 finished third with an 8-under-par 63.
Philip Franks won the closest-to-the-pin contest (15'6") on the Par 3 10th hole, and Mike Elias, Sr. claimed victory in the longest drive competition.
Haverford Baseball will kick off its 2025 season on Sunday, March 2, with a doubleheader at Arcadia University. Last season, the team made its 15th appearance in the Centennial Conference tournament.
